Focus Group

Analysis of focus group

The entire focus group liked the idea of the detective taking a camera shot which will initiate a flashback. This will be the turning point in our video, when the location, as well as the time changes. The camera shot will be a good way of initiating the flashback and letting the audience know that this is in the past.

The next talking point is the idea of a point of view. Some of the focus group believe that this is a good idea but one is unsure of what this would mean and how it would work. We do feel like this shot would be useful if it worked, however due to our limited experience with a camera and practical issues this might be a problem. We will experiment with this and if it seems viable we will try to impliment this.

The focus group suggests that we do a shadow shot in place of a graphic shot. This was a similar idea to ours, we wanted something violent to be heavily implied but not actually show the violence taking place. Our idea was of the garage door being closed and then playing the sound of the grinder in the garage, we think this would show the brutality of the criminals.
